| Religious
Weddings are weddings which follow the texts
and the rituals of a particular religious faith. Religious
weddings are designed to serve active, believing members
of a faith.
Civil/Humanist weddings
These are weddings in which there are no references
to God or religious references of any kind. A judge
or justice of the peace provides a “civil wedding”
from a text provided by the Province. Some clergy will
officiate “humanist style” weddings; others
will not.
Interfaith An
“interfaith” marriage is a marriage between
a couple whose religious heritages are different –
for example Hindu, Muslim or Jewish with Protestant
or Catholic or with people who have no formal faith
affiliation at all.
An “interfaith” wedding can
also refer to a wedding between two different Christian
denominations- especially those which have different
styles from each other.
Intercultural
Marriages between couples from different cultures are
quite common now in Canada. We are proficient at blending
different traditions. |
